Double Baptism Celebration in Ceuta

Two families in Ceuta celebrated a double baptism ceremony at the church of Nuestra Patrona, the Virgin of Africa, on a special Saturday. The two baby girls, each named after the revered Perpetual Mayoress in the region, were the center of attention on this memorable day.

At 11:00 am, little Maria was baptized by Father Alberto. The church was filled with the girl’s parents, her little brother, grandparents, close relatives, and friends, all gathering to commemorate Maria’s special moment as she received the sacrament of baptism.

Shortly after, at 12:00 pm, the baptism of Africa took place, officiated by Deacon Paco. The church welcomed the close relatives of the baby girl, her parents, and those who wanted to share in the significance of the moment.

Both girls, adorned with beautiful names increasingly popular in the city, took center stage on this important day. Attendees were all smiles, radiating happiness for being part of the little ones’ milestone.

El Faro de Ceuta was present to capture every detail of the event. Our colleague Diego Naranjo ensured not to miss a moment of the Saturday morning proceedings at the church of Africa. Congratulations to all the families from everyone at our publication serving the Ceuta society!

The extensive photo coverage will also feature in our print edition on Sunday, July 15, 2024, serving as a cherished keepsake to commemorate this joyous day.
